Have you got talent? We want to see it! As part of Newcastle Mela 2026, Spice FM and Newcastle NAAM (Newcastle Asian Arts & Music) proudly present Melas Got Talent – a fun, exciting and inclusive talent competition celebrating the incredible talent within our communities. Whether you’re an experienced performer or stepping onto a stage for the very first time, this is your chance to shine in front of a live festival audience on the iconic Newcastle Mela Main Stage.

Who can enter...
* Open to all backgrounds, cultures and communities * All ages welcome (recommended for ages 8+ due to the live stage environment) * Solo acts, duos and groups are all encouraged to enter * No previous stage experience is necessary
When is it?
Qualifying Heats: Sunday 30 August 2026 (12:00pm – 3:30pm)
Monday 31 August 2026 (3:00pm – 4:00pm)
Grand Final
The best qualifying acts return to battle it out for the title of Melas Got Talent Champion 2026.
